egghead.io and I have collaborated to make this website a truly high-quality and delightful learning experience for you and others.
It would be impossible to list everyone who has contributed to the creation of this website (I'd have to list my parents, teachers, etc, etc, etc).
But hopefully with this page, you can get an idea of the primary group of folks who worked to make this site great.
In no particular order.
Hi! It's me. Yeah, I worked on this project too. I was the "client" for egghead and I implemented the vast majority of the code on this site and made architectural decisions. I'm also the long-term maintainer.
Maggie led the production of illustrations for the site as well as the overall design.
Responsible for the overall web design and the information architecture. Kent and Gil worked together to get the best possible structure for the website and visual design.
Jhey worked on making using the site visually interesting by adding motion. In particular he built the audio recorder visualizer and the parallax experience on the homepage.
Sean worked on the audio for the launch video as well as the Chats with Kent podcast.
Took the designs and implemented them using Tailwind. Did a terrific job of implementing the designs and coming up with solutions when unexpected requirements popped up.
Daniel managed the redesign project, acting as phone switch operator and document creator.
All these beautiful illustrations you see on the website were created by Mohamed.
Some other awesome folks
Ryan Florence and other friends at Remix.run were super helpful as I was figuring out the best way to rewrite my website in this new technology with completely new and improved features that far exceeded what my website had been previously.
The syntax highlighting theme in blog posts is inspired by Sarah Drasner's Night Owl.
To prepare for the launch of this website, a number of terrific folks reviewed and opened issues and even made pull requests to get it ready for launch. Thank you!
The folks at Fly.io were an enormous help in getting me off the ground with hosting the site and databases. The backend is totally not my domain and they seriously helped me be successful.
